The Snowshoe is a rare hybrid cat bred from a Siamese and an American shorthair. The Snowshoe was first bred in the U.S. in the sixties. Purebred Snowshoes always have blue eyes. Snowshoes get darker in color as they get older and may even turn a rich brown. Snowshoe Cats are known to be very vocal.
