The Snowshoe is a rare hybrid cat bred from a Siamese and an American shorthair. The Snowshoe was first bred in the U.S. in the sixties. Snowshoes get darker in color as they get older and may even turn a rich brown. Snowshoe Cats are known to be very vocal.
